Imac e schermo nero

Ciao tutti da qualche giorno il mio iMac presenta questo problema improvvisamente lo schermo diventa nero aspetto una decina di secondi premo un tasto sulla tastiera oppure clicco con il mouse e la schermata si riavvia dopo circa 20-30 secondi nuovamente schermo buio , cosa può essere?

Ciao grazie per la risposta, dunque non riuscivo a scaricare l'ultima versione di Sierra mi si bloccava continuamente, così ho provato a fare una istallazione pulita del sistema ed ora sembra funzionare perfettamente il problema del monitor che si abbuia non si è più ripresentato è 3 giorni che ho reistallato tutto e ad ora sembra tutto ok
