Apple ha ripetutamente affermato negli anni che non verrà mai rilasciato un Mac dotato di touchscreen, ma questo non limita la fantasia dei designer, almeno non del sito Svizzero HandyAbovergleich il quale ha realizzato un concept davvero interessante.
Il sito ha messo insieme alcune immagini di un Mac di Apple che probabilmente non vedrà mai la luce del sole, sia per il touchscreen che per la tastiera in stile Touch Bar.
Steve Jobs fu il primo a spiegare il motivo per cui Apple ha rifiutato l’idea di un Mac touch:
Touch surfaces don’t want to be vertical. It gives great demo, but after a short period of time you start to fatigue, and after an extended period of time your arm wants to fall off. It doesn’t work, it’s ergonomically terrible.
Jony Ive ha inoltre affermato lo scorso anno che Apple ha rifiutato un Mac con touchscreen ‘molti, molti anni fa’. Phil Schiller ha anche toccato questo argomento.
Apple came to this conclusion by testing if touch screens made sense on the Mac. “Our instincts were that it didn’t, but, what the heck, we could be wrong—so our teams worked on that for a number of times over the years,” says Schiller. “We’ve absolutely come away with the belief that it isn’t the right thing to do. Our instincts were correct.”
Ma il lancio della Touch Bar sui MacBook Pro può essere interpretato come un piccolo passo avanti verso la tecnologia touch e l’interesse da parte dell’azienda di Cupertino in questo tipo di tecnologia.
Il concept di HandyAbovergleich ha integrato il display touchscreen e anche la tastiera, che potrebbe risultare in effetti molto scomoda se effettivamente lo fosse a meno che non ci fosse qualche sistema come il Force Touch.
The focus is clearly on the completely new display and the touch screen on the bottom, which replaces the keyboard. It creates a completely new and extremely modern-looking MacBook , but still looks like one and does not lose the character of the popular Apple computer. It can be considered the next generation MacBook Pro Retina 2016.
Dall’immagine qui sopra potete anche vedere un trackpad edge-to-edge, supporto per Apple Pencil. Lo schermo pare misuri 17 pollici, probabilmente con le dimensioni contenute di un MacBook da 13″.
Our designer gives the MacBook Touch a Retina OLED display with the usual high resolution , but now in even larger format thanks to the vanishingly small screen margins . This fits without problems a 17-inch display in a similar form factor as that of today’s MacBook Pro 15-inch.
La tastiera, ovviamente sensibile al tocco, che come dicevamo prima offrirebbe un esperienza utente veramente pessima può essere utilizzata come display secondario.
Il computer in questione non vedrà mai la luce del sole e personalmente, tralasciando il display edge-to-edge veramente bello, il resto è risulta essere troppo futuristico e non consono con i canoni Apple.
